：We make theoretical analysis on the punching mechanism of roller type hill-drop planter for wheat. In this paper, the structure, the motion locus of duckbill,hole-forming process and its shape are analyzed, and the main defects of the planter are indicated, as follows: the hill spacing is irregular , it easily creates no seeds hills, the duckbill damages film seriously, and the seed shamber can't be easily covered with soil.
