An experimental study on selective synthesis of lower alcohols from syngas in supercritical fluids by using a fixed bed reactor was carried out. The formation route of lower alcohols and the possibility of increasing the C 2+ OH content were investigated over Cu Co, Zn Cr and Zr Mn catalyst systems.
