The structure and rheological properties of metallocene polyethylenes (mPE) were studied systematically by means of GPC, FTIR and Instron rheometer, and were also compared with that of traditional polyethylenes such as LDPE and LLDPE. It was found that the sensitivity of the shear viscosity of mPE to shear rate and temperature was lower than that of LDPE and LLDPE, because of its narrower molecular weight distribution and the lower branching degree.
