The methods on extraction and separation of total triterpene and flavonoid constituents from eight kinds of glycyrrhiza roots have been studied. Furthermore, the contents of glycyrrhizic acid in total triterpene, liquiritin and isoliquiritin in flavones have been detected with the Thin Layer Photon Density method.
