The serial studies of ecological grazing and digestion and metabolism of sheep on alpine pasture Ⅰ The study of forage preference index of grazing sheep
Esophagus fistula method and microscopic examination technique were used to analysis the botanical composition, and preference index of forage selected by grazing sheep on alpine pasture. The results showed that the plant species selected by grazing sheep in October were more than that in July. The preference index varied in different period. The forage preference of grazing sheep in winter was not as strong as that in summer. But to some forage, the preference index were relatively stable.
