During the seed ripening process of Safari and Fawn tall fescue,seven methods of physiology and biochemistry were used to determine the vigour of tall fescue seed harvested at the different ripening sages in 1995 andl996. The results showed that accelerated ageing test and ATP content test were better methods to determine the seed vigour of tall fescue.
