In this paper the design method of the airborne planar spiral antenna with balanced feed is analyzed and a compound planar spiral antenna with equiangular spiral antenna terminated by Archimedean structures is proposed. In the operating band 1~6GH, the 3dB beam width is about 90o, the axial is less then 3 dB, and the VSWR is less then 2.The antenna diameter is only 110mm,realizing the aim of miniature.
