This paper presents a new approach to pirdict ore or rock parameters for enguneering design purpose, i.e.based on artificial neural network techiqne.The nonlinear mapping between geological characteristics 1f ore/rock and its design parameters are learned from case histories and used to predict the design parameters of new ore/rock.
