The growth of cultured cells of fig ( Ficus carica L.) was extremely significantly inhibited by 1.2% NaCl treatment, however, the relative growth of cultivar Hourish (HO) was significantly higher than that of Mashi Dauphine(MD), suggesting the former might more tolerate salinity.
