This paper introduced the classification and separation mechanism of membrane processes, and then reviewed the application and prospect of the membrane processes such as microflltration, ultrafiltration, nanofiltration , and reverse osmosis. The important role and the potential applications of membrane separation technology in biological medicine were also described.
