The magnesium surface processing technique plays a key role in improving the corrosion resistance of magnesium alloys. This paper summarizes the advantages and disadvantages of the general technologies of the surface treatment for magnesium alloys, and laser surface treatment is emphasized on the future technology of surface treatment for magnesium alloys as a important development direction.
