Emergent plants are important component of aquatic ecosystems. The studies have shown that plants can remove nitrogen, phosphorus and other pollutants by absorption and accumulate of heavy metals. In addition, plant root exudates can also provide nutrition for the rhizosphere microbial to the degradation of organic compounds.
