The dissertation is composed of four chapters. In the first chapter, the research advance of the chemical constitutes and bioactivities of the family Schisandraceae were summarized. In the second chapter, the isolation and identification of the chemical constitutes from the fruits of Schisandra sphenanthera Rehd. et Wils were described. Reports in the chapter 3 were about the anti-inflammatory activity of the compounds from S. sphenanthera. The last chapter was a summary report of the research work.
