紫锥菊(Echinacea Moenck.)，北美传统草药，为菊科野生植物，该属植物因为具有明显的免疫调节作用而在欧美应用广泛。目前紫锥菊先后在我国部分地区引种成功，但对引种紫锥菊及其成分的免疫调节作用研究仍然十分有限，本课题以引种紫锥菊(Introducing plant of Echinacea purpurea)为研究对象。采用现代药理学研究方法，通过体内外实验，深入研究引种紫锥菊对机体免疫调节作用的影响及其机理，结果表明：
1．引种紫锥菊在体外能刺激T淋巴细胞增殖，促进活化T淋巴细胞产生细胞因子IL-2和IFN-γ，其作用与进口紫锥菊相似。
2．引种紫锥菊的免疫活性与其三大主要成分多糖、烷酰胺和咖啡酸的协同作用有关。
3．引种紫锥菊粗多糖能提高实验动物胸腺指数、血清免疫球蛋白水平，刺激T淋巴细胞增殖，促进活化T淋巴细胞分泌细胞因子IL-2和IFN-γ，具有明显的免疫调节作用。
