Vasculogenic mimicry(VM) is a new pattern of blood supply in malignant tumor which involves the conversion of genotype,the interaction between tumor cell and extracellular matrix(ECM),the change of molecular signal of tumor cell.Observations confirm that VM is closely related to tumor growth,invasion,metastasis and prognosis.However,studies in liver cancer show that the existence of VM in live cancer tissues may be associated with invasion,metastasis and poor prognosis of liver tumor.
