The extraction of high-altitude targets is mainly studied,particularly for airspace object because of the gray level difference of target and background.Object extraction is realize by threshold segmentation.Then a new image thresholding method of cross-correlation matching is proposed,which takes advantage of correlation principle and combines with the principle of registration in graphical pattern recognition.Experimental results show that the method can well extract the targets of interest.
