The reasons for the ground movement are described during the period of the shield driving.The engineering measures for diminishing the ground movement are discussed for different situations.In connection with the real projects,the project difficulties and the reference measures are presented in detail.At last the safety of the adjacent buildings and the regulatory measures during shield passing the complex areas are suggested,which could provide beneficial reference to engineers.
