Metallic antimony thin film was deposited by magnetron sputtering and it was investigated as anode materials for lithium-ion batteries. It is easy to be made with magnetron sputtering and has a flat potential plateau. Besides, thickness has a important effect on the electrochemical performance of lithium ion cells, and thinner film sample reveals a better electrochemical performance than that of thicker one, with charge capacity above 400mAh·g-1 after 15 cycles.
