The long glass fiber reinforced PA6 was prepared by using a new melt impregnation process. Influences of the glass fiber content and distribution to the composite were studied. The results showed that when the glass fiber content was 50%, the tensile strength of the composite was 234 MPa, flexural strength was 349 MPa, flexural modules was 11.4 GPa, notched impact strength was 313 J/m. Its mechanical performance was obviously superior to that of commerical glass fiber reinforced PA6 composites.
