A novel catalysts with active component of tungsten phosphide were prepared from the mixture of support γ-Al\-2_3 and tungsten phosphate as precursor, and characterized by means of temperature-programmed reduction in highly-pure flowing hydrogen. The HDS activity of thiophene over the different loaded catalysts was examined.
