In this paper,we first discuss some problems that exist presently in some anisotropic diffusion schemes for image processing,then propose an improved anisotropic diffusion method based on the characteristic of human visual system.Owing to making use of the information offered by the visibility function,this method not only avoids the difficulties in choosing parameter in the Perona-Malik and You-Kaveh schemes,but also overcomes the presmoothing problems in the Catte's scheme.The experiment results show that...
