The effects of culture environment on callus growth and content of dl-tetrahydro-palmatine (THP) in the cultures from stem tubers of Corydalis remota were discussed. The results showed that 2,4- D was better for growth of callus cells than NAA. The dry weight of the callus and level of THP were promoted when 2 mg/L 2,4-D and 1 mg/L BA were added to the medium.
