Characteristics of supercritical fluid were introduced simply and a review is given on its application of the supercritical fluid technology(e.g. supercritical fluid extraction,supercritical water oxidantion, supercritical fluid reaction crystallization, supercritical fluid etc.)in chemical reaction, refinery industry, environmental protection and material preparation of petrochemical industry emphasis. The present research and the development of the supercritical fluid technology were also discussed.
