The bamboo resource was outlined and the bamboo properties and their utilization were analyzed. The emphases were laid on the pulp and paper of bamboo, bamboo board and the healthy curative function of bamboo to man, ecological function and the exploitation and utilization of bamboo charcoal. The prospective and specific suggestions about reasonable exploitation of bamboo resource were also put forward.
