The kiwifruit varieties grown and growing areas in China were well mentioned. From now on, the late season varieties with long storage ability should be increased, while the mid and early varieties should be reduced, and growing the superior varieties selected or bred in China should be emphasized. It was suggested that the new gowing areas should be arranged in the mountainous and hilly regions of Central and South China.
