Using the method of time series modeling analysis and the technique of spectrum analysis,thispaper deals with the diagnosis of the crack foult in shafts theoretically and experimentally. The paper takes the universal shaft of small fourroller mill as an example,studies two kinds of crack faults with eight different depths in the shafts made on line cutting machine and finally develops a complete diagnosis method from the collection of signals,establishment of time series model,and the analysis of data.
