S9042,developed by the Rice Institute of Anhui Academy of Agricultural Sciences in 1990, was a medium-maturing early indica conventional rice. It was characterized by its suitable growth period,good disease resistances and great yield-increasing capacity. In April 1994,it was certifide by the Committee of Group Variety of Anhui Province and named as Wandao 45.
