This paper discribed new development of pesticides and environmental assessment index system of pesticides registration,environmental meaning and mutual relationships of various assessmental indexes, and proposed procedures and methods of pesticides environmental safety assessment. It is of great importance to establish and complete pesticides registration and re-registration stipulations in developing high efficient and safety pesticides,protecting eco-environment and jireventing pesticide pollution.
