Black locust mosaic is a common disease of black locust ( Robinia pseudo-acacia) in Northern China. The disease incidence ranged from 20% to 50% on the basis of the surveys made in some locations of Henan, Hebei Provinces and Beijing. A virus from a diseased tree was identified as a Robinia isolate of peanut stunt virus ( PSV-R ), on the basis of biological and serological properties of the virus.
