The ultrastructure of the various developmental stages of Nosema sp., a microsporidian par asite of eri-silworm, Philosamia cynthia ricini, was studied electron microscopically. Most pr-espore stages were irregularly contour and the nucleus were in diplokaryon arrangement. There were cisternae of endoplasmic reticulum in the cytoplasm which encircled the nucleus but no mitochondria. Stages usually lay directly in the host cell cytoplasm.
