杂种优势是生物界普遍存在的十分重要的生物学现象,并在多种动植物中得到成功地利用。芸薹属(Brassica)作物是杂种优势利用最为普遍的一类作物。为了更有效地利用杂种优势现象为人类服务,人们十分重视杂种优势产生机理的研究。国内外学者在近一个世纪对杂种优势机理的研究中做了大量的理论和实验探讨,在方法和指导思想上都有了明显的进步,不仅取得了一些进展,还提出了许多的学说。但是,杂种优势产生的机理仍然是一个末解之谜,还有许多问题需要深入研究。本研究以芸薹种(Brassica campestris L. , syn. B. rapa L.)的三个亚种,即白菜(B. campestris L. ssp. chinensis Makino)、大白菜(B. campestris ssp. pekinensis Olsson)和芜菁(B. campestris ssp. rapifera (Matzg.) Sinsk)等芸薹作物为研究对象,从基因表达差异入手,采用cDNA-AFLP技术,结合生理生化表现,对其杂种优势形成的分子生物学基础进行研究,获得的主要结果如下:
