Wactive carbon,Ni and Co powders were used as raw materials by thermal mechanical alloying(TMA) to prepare WC-M(metal) composites and the effect of mechanical alloying(MA) on W-C-M powder system and its sintering process was studied.It is shown that the activatied powder system has finer grains and a lot of distortion energy.The powder system milled at 500 r/min for 15 hours has formed WC and W2C after sintering at 900 ℃ and all of the tungsten has participatedin in the reaction,whereas the one milled for 1...
