猪链球菌(Streptococcus suis,S.suis)是一种重要的人畜共患病病原体,能够导致猪和人的脑膜炎、败血病、胸膜炎、关节炎、永久性耳聋及突发性死亡,给生命和财产构成极大威胁。猪链球菌共有35个血清型,其中2型猪链球菌流行最广、致病性最强。人们目前对2型猪链球菌(Streptococcus suis type 2,SS2)有了一定的认识,但其致病机理还不明确,缺少有效的诊断和疫苗靶位,给该病的预防、诊断和治疗带来了困难。
