The contents of mercury(Hg), arsenic(As), lead(Pb) and cadmium(Cd) in Trionyx sinensis muscles in Zhejiang province were analyzed in this paper. The results show that the residue of Hg, As, Pb and Cd in the turtle samples was 0.054 mg/kg, 0.039 mg/kg, 0.202 mg/kg and 0.022 mg/kg, respectively, which are below the levels of national fisheries heavy metals sanitation limits.
