Multimedia Forensic Technology for Digital Evidence

【Abstract】 Today, worldwide crime and some accidents are more and more serious. Development of Information Technology (IT) has increased the need for forensic digital evidence. The amount and quality of digital evidence to the world courtrooms may be one of the keys to the preservation of global justice. Forensic science is a new branch of computer science. Forensic science is a complex field where real examples of crime scenes are both sensitive and transient environments. With the past few years a new way of testify crime scenes has become more prevalent, that is, Multimedia Technology for the digital evidence committed within electronic or digital domains, particularly within cyberspace. We call that Multimedia Forensic Technology. This paper describes some cases where Forensic Animation and Interactive Virtual Reality Environments evidence have been previously admitted to courtrooms. In this paper we discuss some important multimedia technologies (e.g. computer animation, Computer Graphics and Virtual Reality) used in computer forensic and potential future application. It goes on to conclude by introducing some new technologies that may take importance parts in the field of computer forensics.更多还原
