【Abstract】 3,5-Difluorophenylacetic acid was prepared from 3,5-difluoro-bromobenzene by Grignard reaction with diethyl oxalate to give ethyl 3,5-difluorobenzoylformate,which was subjected to hydrolysis with KOH and then reduction with hydrazine hydrate with an overall yield of 68%.
