【Abstract】 On pondering China’s basic characters of large population and limited farm land, tillable land protection especially the protection of basic farmland is of utmost importance. This article hence holds that a guaranteed protection of at least 1.8 billion mu (120.6 million hectares) of farmland is the foremost important issue that requires closest attention and solution. However, coal mining activity, a very important economic activity for the national economic development, always results in the destroy of farmland. The article therefore proposes countermeasures for a well coordinated development between farmland protection and coal mining from three angles such as legislation, management and technical measures.更多还原
