添加WC对纳米Si3N4陶瓷组织和力学性能的影响

【摘要】 采用热压烧结制备了纳米Si3N4-WC复合陶瓷,研究了WC颗粒的添加对纳米Si3N4陶瓷组织与力学性能的影响。试验结果表明:纳米Si3N4-WC复合陶瓷的基体显微组织由粒径小于100nm的等轴晶粒构成,WC以独立颗粒的形式存在,对显微组织影响不大;纳米Si3N4-WC复合陶瓷的硬度随WC含量的增加而升高,但低于单相纳米Si3N4陶瓷,添加适量的WC颗粒可以提高纳米Si3N4陶瓷的断裂韧性,但对抗弯强度影响不大。

【Abstract】 Si3N4-WC nano-composites ceramics are fabricated by hot-press sintering. The effect of WC particles on microstructure and mechanical properties are analyzed and discussed. SEM micrographs show that the microstructure of nano-Si3N4 ceramic consists of equiaxed grains which sizes are less than 100nm. The WC particles exist in the form of separated phase and have little effect on the microstructure of nano-Si3N4 ceramic. The Vickers hardness of Si3N4-WC nano-composites ceramics increase with the addition of WC particles but are lower than monolithic nano-Si3N4 ceramic. Adding proper amount of WC particles increases the fracture toughness,but has little effect on the flexural strength.
