可寻址光线屏蔽机制光学透视式增强现实显示系统研究
Novel optical see-through head-mounted display with occlusion and intensity matching support
【摘要】 传统的光学透视式头盔显示器存在不能正确显示虚拟物体和真实环境之间的遮挡关系和光强度匹配关系的问题,无法实现虚拟物体与真实环境的融合显示。针对传统光学透视式头盔显示器的特点,本文设计了一种新型的光学透视式头盔显示系统,引入可寻址光线屏蔽机制,使用灰度液晶作为可寻址的光学滤光器重新设计光学透视式头盔显示器,同时嵌入智能光调制机制,可以实现增强现实显示中虚实物体的相互遮挡和光强匹配,同时解决了人眼观察虚拟图像和外界景物时眼睛聚焦不同的问题,实现虚拟物体与真实环境图像的融合显示。
【Abstract】 In an augmented reality system,mutual occlusion and intensity matching of real and virtual environment enhance the user’s feeling that virtual objects truly exist in the real world.Conventional optical see-through head-mounted display(HMD)cannot present mutual occlusion and intensity matching correctly.Aiming at the attribute of conventional optical see-through HMD,we propose a novel display design with mutual occlusion and intensity matching capability.In our design an 8-bit gray level XGA LCD is used as the addressable filter,by which mutual occlusion and intensity matching could be accomplished.Furthermore,with our optical system,a viewer can simultaneously observe both outside scenery and a pattern on the LCD panel in focus.Experimental results show that our novel design can integrate virtual object with real scene more seamlessly.
