【Abstract】 The relationship between serum uric acid and cardiovascular disease is a controversial issue.This article reviews epidemic and laboratory studies on this subject within the past six years.In studies of high-risk patients,increasing serum uric acid is likely to be an independent risk factor in cardiovascular disease.Although the association does not seem to be consistent in healthy patients,of 10 studies of healthy patients,6 studies suggest an independent association of serum uric acid with adverse cardiovascular outcomes.Several studies of rats and vascular cells in vitro have suggested hyperuricemia is likely to play a pathogenic role in the development of cardiovascular disease.更多还原
