【Abstract】 Utilitarianism appeared in the 19th century in England.The forerunner of this assertion is Jeremy Bentham.James Mill and John Mill complemented and developed his theory later.The principle of the Greatest Happiness serves the fundamental principle.Bentham’s moral system is concerned with various areas like individual morality,social utilitarianism,laws making,social changes,and so on.Under this system,Bentham introduced the means of calculation to define individual happiness,and,for public happiness,he held that it is interests.the result of adding all individuals’ happiness up.This thought of calculation of happiness exerts positive influences on the assessment of individual,city,working performances,IQ,EQ,etc.But,at the same time,we should avoid the tendency of the distortion of it to be an assistant for cheating and pursuing illegal personal更多还原
