【Abstract】 kang Youwei was a cultural pioneer who advocated learning the western civilization and a forward-looking intellectual who firstly advanced to build the museums in China and advocated building them. What he understood the western modern museums can be divided into two periods by 1898 when he escaped from China. He knew the museums and their functions through reading considerable western books and the books that introduced western world during the first period. After his escape, he further advocated the modern museums that he investigated abroad and put forward some theories and suggestions to build our own museums.更多还原
