【Abstract】 Collon MacCullough,a famous Australian authoress,gave another great work "Song of Troy" in 1998 after "The Thorn Birds".If "The Thorn Birds" is a plaintive miserable love melody,"Song of Troy" is a solemn,stirring and heartening heroic symphony.The author deduces again about the old mythology with modern military ideas.She gave more rational thinking and aesthetic skill to the poem from the reasons and wisdom of war to the description of heroes.She made the Troy full of modern luster and broke through the dull narration of epic.Therefore she made characters and events of the work more truthful and dimensional.And her modern comments on this type of war are regarded as the most striking part.This paper will mainly make an analysis of this novel from two aspects the description of characters and war tactics.更多还原
