The BALB/c mice were orally dosed with approximately 109 cFDASE-labeled cells Lactococcus lactis NZ9000 by orogastric intubation. Groups of three mice each were sacrificed on days 1,2,4,6 and 7 and the duodenum,jejunum,ileum and colon were extracted from each mouse and cut longitudinally.
