【Abstract】 United States has a long history of teaching public speaking.What is more all schools at different levels attach importance to it and help cultivate the public speaking abilities of US citizens.Looking at the English learning in our country, we lay too much emphasis on exams and thus the communication competence of our students has been hin- dered.Therefore our English education should be reformed and introduction of public speaking into our curriculum and offering it to our students first in some advanced schools are an effective means to improve our students’ oral proficiency.更多还原
