【Abstract】 Lime softening process is often applied in removing hardness and phosphates. Several software models are available in predicting the removal processes based on experimental derived equilibrium constants. These pseudo-equilibrium constants were derived from overseas municipal wastewaters, mostly in the United States. To use lime treatment data from Beijing GaoBeiDian Wastewater Plant effluent as a basis, the availability of SOFTEN4 of Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI) is investigated.
