【Abstract】 Aim at the present situation of Chinese landscape design area that pursuing studies blunderingly, lack of academic atmosphere and pay more attention to practice than theory. This essay analyzes the landscape theory’s concept, roles and research method in the hope that designers can grasp valid theoretic tool to instruct practice.
