【Abstract】 The Chinese university professors’ committee system has its prominent characteristics. Its basic type is dual power separation with proper penetration. Its basic position is the decision making authority of basic level academic organization for academic affairs. Its core function is to do scholar research. The essence of Chinese university professors’ committee system is doing scholar research by professors which is not negative to governing a university by professors, but a more exact statement of its core function.
