【Abstract】 The Existential sentence has never failed to capture people’s attention.Scholars abroad and at home have studied it from different perspectives.However,most of them only focused on one of the aspects.This paper makes a comparison between Chinese and English existential sentences from the perspectives of structure,pragmatics and cognition.The final conclusion indicates that the similarities outweigh the differences,which is largely caused by different philosophies.更多还原
