【Abstract】 The development and applications of chitosan and its derivatives in the treatment of different sources of industrial wastewater have been reviewed in recent years.Chitosan and its derivatives can be used as flocculant,heavy metal-chelating agent and adsorbent for organics,which offer widespread applications in industrial effluent treatment.They are applied mostly to the flocculation and treatment of industrial wastewater containing heavy metal and are of tremendous environmental benefits.Chitosan and its derivatives are green reagents and degradable in nature.Its future developing trend will be to synthesize better ramifications,to combine with other techniques and to investigate their treating effects for complex industrial wastewater.更多还原
